The Toronto Parking Authority (TPA) is a City agency that operates municipal on-street metered parking and off-street parking facilities in Toronto. The TPA’s Bike Share program (Bike Share Toronto) provides bicycle rentals on a short-term basis throughout Toronto.
The TPA:
Manages an estimated 19,000 on-street parking spaces controlled by solar-powered pay and display technology or single-space meters
Maintains approximately 22,000 off-street spaces at about 250 facilities including automated and partially automated lots and garages
Operates approximately 18,000 parking spaces for third parties including the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Exhibition Place, Toronto Community Housing Corporation and Parks, Forestry and Recreation Division
Manages Bike Share Toronto with a network of approximately 2,750 bicycles and 270 docking stations throughout Toronto
