[REMINDER] RAIN BARRELS GO ON SALE ON JULY 23 AT 2:00 PM

I am writing to remind you that the next round of the City's Rain Barrel Savings Program opens online Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Last time this launched, the entire allocation sold out in just nine hours, so if you've been thinking about getting a rain barrel, now's the time to be ready.

The next round of subsidized rain barrels and downspout diverters, offered at an 80% subsidy, becomes available online today, Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m.

Barrels are limited to one per eligible address to keep things fair as demand continues to outstrip supply. 

Rain barrels help reduce stormwater runoff during the intense storms Toronto has seen more of in recent years, and they cut down on outdoor water use for gardens and lawns during hot, dry summer stretches. 

Given how quickly the last round disappeared, if you've been thinking about getting one, I'd recommend being ready right at 2:00 p.m. on July 23, 2026.
