September brings a full calendar of events across Scarborough North. From family fun at the park to consultations on how we can improve our shared spaces, these gatherings are all about connecting, celebrating, and shaping the future of our community together.
Tonight, Friday, September 5, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we’re hosting our Basketball & Ice Cream Social at Goldhawk Park. Come meet the award-winning alumni and coaches from Royal Crown School, enjoy fun basketball games, and grab free ice cream for the family.
Here’s what else is coming up this month:
Park Renaming Ceremony – Rosebank Park
Saturday, September 6 | 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Join us as we officially rename Rosebank Park in honour of the late Councillor Cynthia Lai. The new flower bed planted under the park sign, filled with her favourite purple flowers, will be unveiled during the ceremony.
Asialicious Carnival – Woodside Square, 1571 Sandhurst Circle
Saturday, September 6 | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Opening Ceremony at 7:00 PM
Celebrate Scarborough’s vibrant food and cultural scene with local vendors, live performances, and family activities. Stop by my tent anytime during the day and enjoy the opening ceremony in the evening.

As a follow-up to our summer ice cream social at Seasons Park, join Councillor Myers to learn more details about improvements to Seasons Park, share your ideas for what more can be done, and hear the latest from the Councillor on issues related to the neighbourhood, like the Steeles Avenue widening.
